Sitcoms & Reality TV lead October Attention

It's officially the time when decorations change from witches and ghouls to turkeys and pilgrims.

But decorating houses, making costumes, and handing out candy to trick-or-treaters did not stop viewers from engaging with their favorite TV programs. Like last year, sitcoms and reality captured attention.

Highlights:

  • Laughter is the best medicine! Comedies led both the broadcast and cable lists, with ABC's Blackish and TBS's The Guest Book taking their respective top spots.
  • Is this the real life? Reality programs yet again perform well on cable, taking three of the top five spots.
