Fall Premieres & Reality TV lead September Attention

Hot cider, pumpkins, cold weather, and new shows – fall is here!

For many viewers, that means premieres of new and returning programs, which dominated the broadcast list. But while premieres dominated broadcast, softer reality content captured cable attention.

Highlights:

  • Premiere season is in full swing! Four of the top five broadcast shows were part of the fall premiere schedule. Most were for returning programs -- stay tuned for our premiere recap report in a few weeks.
  • Reality leads the pack: MTV's Jersey Shore Family Reunion has a highly attentive audience to match the ratings buzz. The program was #2 on the cable list, just behind Keeping up with the Kardashians.
