To rank H1 2019's top 5 ads, we leveraged Creative Attention Score (CAS), also known as "Creative Breakthrough". These are the brand ads that drove the greatest audience engagement - isolated from the effects of media placement. And since only TVision can measure person-level data, we broke out H1 2019's Top Ads for Women and H1 2019's Top Ads for Men

H1 2019's Top Ads - Overall

#1: Volvo - 'Follow No One' (114.0 Creative Attention Score): Throughout the commercial, Volvo paired a narrated reading of an E.E. Cummings quote on individuality with images of the open road, successfully capturing the feelings of escape and adventure its luxury sedan is meant to inspire. 

 

#2: Bounty - 'Chopsticks' (112.0 Creative Attention Score): It turns out dumplings, cute dogs, and Bounty are a recipe for attention. The comedic story keeps viewers paying attention until the real "winner" is revealed.

 

#1: Frito-Lay - 'Hero' (111.4 Creative Attention Score): This horror story of surprise snack duty has a happy ending for the soccer-team hero, thanks to the Frito-Lay Variety Pack. With cute kids and great dance moves, viewers of all ages - though especially millennials - paid high attention.

#1: Dawn - 'More Than Just Dishes' (117.4 Creative Attention Score, Women Only): This Brand Power + Dawn commercial shows how Dawn can be used beyond doing dishes. While the ad made the Top 5 for both men and women, it especially resonated well with women, as shown in the video below.
