Here are the shows that topped the TVision Power Score list for the month of August 2026, thanks to their ability to both attract viewers and hold their attention throughout the show.
For the month of August, Apple TV+'s "Ted Lasso" (Season 4) finishes as the #1 series on the TVision Power Score. Jason Sudeikis returns as the relentlessly upbeat American coach running AFC Richmond. The long-awaited fourth season didn't just draw a crowd, it commanded the most sustained attention of any series all month. After a wait this long, that kind of turnout says the audience never really left. They were just waiting for the whistle.
Amazon's "Reacher" (Season 4) lands at #2 for the month. Alan Ritchson is back as Jack Reacher, the ex-Army investigator who tends to solve problems the hard way. Reacher has quietly become one of streaming's most dependable attention magnets, and a second-place finish behind only the Ted Lasso juggernaut proves the draw is no fluke. When you're runner-up to one of the biggest returns of the year, you're still having a monster month.
Hulu's "Furious" (Season 1) climbs into the #3 spot for August, up from 13th the month before. Emmy Rossum stars as FBI agent Alice Black, tracking a calculating serial killer played by Lola Petticrew as the line between pursuer and prey begins to blur. A nine-spot jump into the monthly top three signals real momentum. Word of mouth built, the audience grew, and a brand new title muscled its way in alongside two returning heavyweights.

For the month of August, Netflix's "The Last House" tops the movie chart at #1 on the TVision Power Score. Greta Lee and Wagner Moura star as parents whose family wakes to find every door and window sealed, trapped inside their own home by a force they can't explain. Director Louis Leterrier leans on a hook that needs no setup: what if you simply couldn't leave? That instantly gettable premise pulled a massive opening audience and carried the film to the most attention of any movie all month.
Netflix's "72 Hours" holds at #2 for the month. Kevin Hart plays Joe, a 40-year-old marketing exec who gets accidentally added to a group chat for a Miami bachelor party and talks his way into a wild weekend with a crew of twentysomethings half his age. Weeks after release, the Tim Story comedy is still pulling top-tier attention, the kind of staying power that turns a summer laugher into a genuine hit.
Netflix's "Don't Say Good Luck" rounds out the top three, debuting at #3. Sunny Sandler leads as a high schooler who lands the role of a lifetime in her school musical just as life at home gets complicated, with Melanie Lynskey and Max Greenfield as her parents. Julia Hart's coming-of-age dramedy struck a chord fast, and a top-three finish in its debut month shows the warm, character-driven story found its audience quickly.

TVision measures Viewer Presence and Attention for every second of programming and advertising on television. Every time a person walks into the room, our technology detects who the viewer is, where they are in the room, and what their eyes are looking at. We do all this without personally identifying individual users, and without transmitting any images or videos. TVision’s data is collected from an opt-in panel of 5,000 homes across the United States and weighted to represent the country. All demographic data is self-reported by the respondents. Linear and CTV ad impressions data in this report is from May 1 – May 31, 2023 or May 29 – June 4, 2023, unless otherwise indicated.
The TVision Power Score is a completely new ranking designed to factor in both viewership and engagement when measuring the performance of CTV programming. The Power Score is based on the industry’s most comprehensive view of the CTV landscape - TVision measures activity across over 1,000 apps - and enables an accurate understanding of the relative performance of CTV content across any app. This new way to understand show performance will enable industry watchers to more quickly identify trending content and CTV’s hottest programming and even uncover hidden gems distributed through smaller apps.
The TVision Power Score factors in four key metrics: the amount of time viewers pay attention to the program, the amount of program time available for the season, the program’s reach, as well as the application’s reach. This combination of metrics was chosen to enable a neutral look at the quality of programming and its unique, inherent ability to draw in viewers - regardless of the scale of the platform, or the program’s release schedule.
